How to use Vilix AI with Manus AI

Connect Manus to Vilix AI through remote MCP, authenticate, and verify retrieval and saving so the agent can use relevant shared project context.

Manus is an autonomous agent, which can take multi-turn actions on its own. Relevant context can help guide those actions. After you connect and authenticate Vilix AI and add its custom instructions, Manus can retrieve projects, tasks, decisions, and preferences that your connected tools have saved to your Vilix AI account. The agent can begin where you left off.

Vilix AI + Manus: Bring Your Context. Start agent work with your project in mind. Vilix AI.

Use Manus's custom MCP settings to add the remote connection. Interface labels may vary; the key information is the full Vilix AI URL, compatible HTTP transport, and authentication.

Open the Custom MCP screen

In Manus, navigate to Settings → Connectors → '+ Add Connectors' → the 'Custom MCP' tab → '+ Add Custom MCP'. Use the direct configuration fields.

Option 1, Direct configuration

  • Name: Vilix AI

  • Transport: Streamable HTTP, or the compatible HTTP option offered by Manus

  • Server URL: https://api.vilix.ai/mcp

Save, and authenticate when prompted.

Verify the connection

After authentication, install the Vilix AI custom instructions and verify the following sequence in a real conversation:

get_context with the latest user message
compose the reply using returned context
save_turn with the exact exchange
return the saved reply and reuse chat_id

Use it in natural language

Once connected, Manus will list Vilix AI's tools alongside its prebuilt connectors. The Vilix AI instructions tell Manus when to read context and save an exchange. Check that the expected calls occur. Ask Manus to 'pick up where I left off on the launch plan' or 'check what tasks are still open on the billing project' and it will read from your Vilix AI memory to respond and take action.

Since the memory is stored in your Vilix AI account rather than any one tool, the cycle closes both ways. Exchanges successfully saved by Manus are available for connected ChatGPT or Cursor clients to retrieve later. This is what cross-tool memory looks like in practice: an autonomous agent that shares the same brain as the rest of your stack.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Vilix AI to Manus AI?

Open Manus's Custom MCP settings, name the server Vilix AI, enter https://api.vilix.ai/mcp, and select the compatible HTTP transport. Authenticate, add the Vilix AI instructions, and verify a context read and saved turn.

Direct configuration or JSON import, which should I use?

Use direct configuration and the full Vilix AI URL. Only use JSON import when you have checked the schema against your current Manus version; the endpoint alone does not form a universal import format.

What can Manus do once Vilix AI is connected?

With the connection and instructions configured, Manus can use Vilix AI tools to read and write memory, projects, tasks, and user_rules. Successfully saved exchanges and updates are available for your other connected tools to retrieve.

Does my context carry between Manus and my other AI tools?

Yes. Memory is tied to your Vilix AI account. Configured Manus, ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor clients can save exchanges and retrieve relevant context from that account. You can try Vilix AI free to set it up. The Free plan has no time limit, and Pro includes a 7-day trial.
